Context
The Global Goals Pavilion serves as a central venue during the United Nations General Assembly—bringing together governments, NGOs, cultural institutions, and private-sector partners around the Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2024 Pavilion, titled UNITE, was conceived as a shared environment—one that emphasized collaboration, alignment, and collective purpose during one of the most condensed and demanding weeks on the global diplomatic calendar.
Scope & Contribution
MODA led the creative direction and experiential strategy for the UNITE Pavilion, shaping how the space functioned as a coherent architectural and narrative system.
The work focused on:
-
Establishing a unifying spatial framework capable of supporting diverse programming
-
Translating the SDGs into a clear, accessible environmental language
-
Integrating staging, content zones, and partner presence without fragmentation
-
Balancing openness and clarity within a high-density event environment
Rather than emphasizing individual activations, the Pavilion was designed to read as a single, collective platform.
Outcome
UNITE operated as a flexible, legible environment—supporting panels, informal exchange, and public engagement throughout UN General Assembly week.
By prioritizing coherence and restraint, the Pavilion offered a calm counterpoint to the intensity of UNGA, reinforcing the SDGs as a shared global agenda rather than a series of competing messages.

This project was produced by Empire Entertainment in collaboration with the UN Office for Partnerships. MODA’s role reflects creative leadership and authorship established during that engagement.
