Good Omens
New York 2018

MODA Role

Creative Direction · Experiential Design · Spatial Narrative
(Developed within a producer-led collaboration)

Context

Good Omens blends myth, humor, and apocalyptic spectacle—requiring an experiential translation that felt immersive and story-driven rather than promotional.

The activation was conceived as a physical extension of the series’ universe, designed to invite audiences into a world defined by contrast, character, and narrative detail.

Scope & Contribution

MODA partnered with BMF Media, who produced the event, to shape the creative direction and spatial narrative of the installation.

MODA’s contributions focused on:

  • Co-developing the experiential concept rooted in the show’s mythology

  • Designing spatial sequences that translated narrative beats into physical form

  • Creating environments that balanced theatricality with legibility

  • Integrating custom scenic elements and environmental details to support immersion

  • Collaborating closely with production teams to maintain narrative fidelity through execution

The space was designed to be experienced as a story, not a set of branded moments.

Design Intent

The environment emphasized world-building and contrast—light and dark, order and chaos, the familiar and the uncanny.

Rather than relying on screens or overt messaging, the design used spatial composition, materiality, and crafted detail to communicate tone and atmosphere—allowing visitors to step inside the narrative.

Outcome

The activation delivered a cohesive, immersive experience that resonated with fans and newcomers alike—successfully translating a complex fictional universe into physical space.

By prioritizing narrative structure and environmental detail, the project demonstrated how entertainment properties can create meaningful engagement through experiential storytelling rather than spectacle alone.

Attribution

This project was produced by BMF Media. MODA contributed creative direction and experiential design within that collaboration.
